Our Story

It all started a few years back when we found a great patch of dirt on Aotea/Great Barrier Island. With a Kiwi can-do attitude and a global appreciation for great coffee, we embarked on the journey to create Aotea Roast.

Our Coffee Bar and Roastery is located in Medlands, alongside Aotea Brewery and a native plant nursery where we practice sustainable methods every step of the way. What began as a small, local venture has since grown into an online store helping bring our small-batch artisan coffee to our mainland crew.
